The Gateway Gators secured a dominant 52-0 shutout victory over the McKeesport Tigers ignited on the very first play of the game as Izzy Brown takes a jet sweep 62 yards for a touchdown, the first of her three scores on the night. Gateway’s “ball-hawking” defense completely stifles the Tigers, led by a legendary performance from sophomore safety Jordan Parks, who records at least five interceptions, returning one for a touchdown and later adding two offensive receiving scores.
The defensive onslaught continues as Leila Jones and Erica Lee both find the end zone on “pick-six” interception returns, while Taniah Russell and Diamond Nollie Stoddard lead a relentless pass rush that keeps McKeesport’s quarterbacks under constant pressure. Senior captain Naara Reed orchestrates the Gators’ offense with precision, connecting with Janai Bryant for a touchdown and utilizing center Kalia Mack as a reliable target in short-yardage situations.
Despite a late-game vertical threat from McKeesport’s Payton Andrews and Naziah Dorsy, the Gators’ speed and disciplined zone coverage ensures the shutout remains intact
