The Gators open their 2026 section schedule with a commanding 3-0 sweep of the Indians in a high-energy match at the Henry J. Furry Complex.
Senior standout Daniel Bozicevic, a recent 3A Player of the Week, anchors the Gators’ offense with powerful kills, while Donovan Shaffer and Chase Lewandowski dominate the net with pivotal blocks. Junior setter Canyon Hines keeps the Indians off-balance with a potent jump serve, and Aiden Coughran seals the second set with back-to-back aces.
Despite the loss, a veteran Penn Hills squad featuring 11 seniors remains resilient throughout every frame. Senior hitters Will Clark and Kingsley Nwachukwu lead the Indians’ scoring efforts, while Tristan Davis provides a strong presence in the middle and Corey Coleman orchestrates the offense from the setter position. The Gators ultimately secure the victory with hard-fought set scores of 25-17, 25-21, and 25-22.
