The Gateway Gators celebrated Senior Night at Antimarino Stadium with a spirited conference matchup against the Seton LaSalle Rebels.
Junior Torin Rhea energized the home crowd by scoring Gateway’s first two goals of the evening with strong finishes. The Gators continued to build offensive momentum in the second quarter, as senior Gavin Matthews powered through the defense for a goal before fellow senior Reed Davis added another scoring strike.
Throughout the game, senior Princeton White controlled key possessions at the faceoff circle, while junior goalkeeper Brian Keener anchored the defensive effort with several difficult saves. Colin Ireland, Max Goss and Treshon Little also contributed to Gateway’s gritty defensive performance.
Seton LaSalle ultimately secured an 18-4 victory to earn its first win of the season. The Rebels’ offense was led by freshman Maurizio Asturi, who recorded a hat trick, along with multi-goal performances from Jordan Tanner, Will Lyons and Jacob Hixon.
