The Gators avenged last season’s loss to Franklin Regional with a convincing 44-24 win over the Panthers to open Big East Conference play. Quarterback Brad Birch returned to the lineup and threw three touchdowns to Steven Jenkins and ran for another score in the lopsided victory.
